William Brian Huskey Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Radiologic Technology
Mr. Huskey is the president of the South Carolina Society of Nuclear Medicine

SUMTER, SC, July 22, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- William B. Huskey, Nuclear Medicine Technologist and Radiation Safety Officer for Tuomey Regional Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in radiologic technology.

After gaining experience as a medical technologist, Mr. Huskey gravitated toward nuclear medicine and has now gained 20 years of experience in nuclear medicine technology. In his capacity as a nuclear medicine technologist, he injects radioactive tracer medicines into patients to diagnose diseases. As a radiation safety officer, he organizes the radiation safety program in the entire hospital, and monitors radiation equipment and radiation dosage.

Mr. Huskey earned a Bachelor of Health Science from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2008. He serves as the president of the South Carolina Society of Nuclear Medicine and is a member of The Society of Nuclear Medicine, The South Carolina Society of Nuclear Medicine and The Nuclear Medicine Technologists Certification Board. He supports the American Heart Association, the March of Dimes Foundation, the American Cancer Society, and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
