CORAL SPRINGS, FL, July 13, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Susan Colton, Principal of Parkside Elementary School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in educational administration.

The principal of Parkside Elementary School for the past 11 years and a former elementary school teacher, Ms. Colton is dedicated to bringing her school's reputation for teaching and learning to the highest level possible. Working mainly with students from low-income backgrounds, she oversees a $4 million budget, professional development coaching for teachers, and the necessary safety programs for operations management.

Currently celebrating her 30th year in the education profession, Ms. Colton attributes her success to the support of her mentors, her hard work, and the goals she had set for herself. The recipient of a master's degree in education, she has been named a National Distinguished Principal by the National Association of Elementary School Principals, as well as honored with an Outstanding Leadership award from the Florida Commissioner of Education. Looking ahead, she hopes to continue contributing to her community in the role of a consultant. Ms. Colton belongs to the National Association of Elementary School Principals, ASCD, and Phi Delta Kappa International, and is a supporter of Autism Speaks.
