Patricia M. Williams Evinces an Expertise in Public Policy throughout Ontario
Patricia Maya Williams has been named Professional of the Year in government services and public policy

OTTAWA, ON, CANADA, June 1, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Patricia Maya Williams, Senior Policy Analyst for the Government of Canada, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in government services and public policy.

After working as a law enforcement officer for more than two decades, Ms. Williams needed a change. She transitioned into the public policy sector to continue working in a governmental capacity yet capitalize on the opportunity to expand her repertoire of skills. An expert in general duty work, she has spent the past three years as a senior policy analyst, retaining the responsibility of conducting research and attending meetings.

Ms. Williams credits her success to the experiences she garnered as a member of the YM-YWCA. She has received many honors, including a Recognition of Dedication Award in 2004 and an Internal Award for Community Policing in 1992. In addition, Ms. Williams' education has played a significant role in her ability to think outside of the box to solve problems. She holds a master's degree in public administration from Carleton University, which she earned in 1985, and a bachelor's degree in physical education from McMaster University.

Looking ahead, Ms. Williams intends to explore the realm of consulting, which would allow her to retire and bring her career full circle.
