Saundra Sue Mayle-Beard Featured in Cambridge Who's Who
Sue Mayle-Beard has helped many seniors citizens and youth members of the community enjoy nutritional, social and employment opportunities

SAN DIEGO, CA, May 4, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ --Saundra Sue Mayle-Beard, Retired Advocate for the City of Utica, New York, Zanesville, Ohio and Erie PA, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in her career.

Mrs. Mayle-Beard spent 55 years focusing on neighborhood development, personnel and nutrition in various government positions in N.Y., Ohio and Pa. Throughout her career, she combined her love of politics with a nonpartisan desire to help senior citizens, underserved children, and other members of the community enjoy adequate nutrition, social opportunities, and employment. Mrs. Mayle-Beard is also a lifelong Democrat who has worked on many presidential campaigns, from John F. Kennedy's to Barack Obama's. Although she retired in 2008, she remains active in her community as a volunteer at libraries, churches and youth programs. She also manages the school cafeteria at Bandini Elementary School.

Mrs. Mayle-Beard, who holds certifications in food service management as well as food safety and sanitation, has successfully managed multiple restaurants. She is also a certified interior decorator and former second assistant director of the Golden Hawks Drum and Bugle Corps in Utica, N.Y. Her affiliations include the NAACP, National Federation of Democratic Women, National Red Cross, League of Women Voters and United Church Women of America.

Mrs. Mayle-Beard was named Democratic Woman of the Year in 2008, was honored with the Y Black Achievers Award from the YMCA in 2005, and was selected the Outstanding Neighborhood Youth Corps work supervisor for a 1970 summer project. She attributes her success to the support she receives from her family.
She owned and operated two businesses: The Cookie Car in Zanesville, Ohio; and the Kitchen (a restaurant and catering operation) in Erie, Pa.
