Although a newcomer to his position, Mr. Hamad has been able to establish MOHCO, LLC, as a prominent manufacturer and distributor of family recipe food products. Among his many responsibilities are overseeing daily business operations, marketing the company, advertising, ensuring the timeliness and cost-effectiveness of operations, and speaking with buyers and suppliers. Using a very simple, yet unparalleled recipe for falafel, Mr. Hamad has made it his mission to bring this healthy food to his community, beginning with local elementary schools. He became involved in his profession after conducting an independent study on poverty in Cleveland and vowing to return the city to its former glory through his networking skills and sheer force of will.
Mr. Hamad is a candidate for a degree in Sociology at Yale University and the founder of S.E.N.C. (Social Entrepreneurship Network of Cleveland). He is also a member of Local Food Cleveland and Slow Food USA. In years to come, Mr. Hamad hopes to have his own facility, increase his staff, and continue to combine sound business principles with social and community betterment ideals.
