Erika Smith is an accomplished member of the military with extensive experience in critical care nursing

ANCHORAGE, AK, May 17, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Erika T. Smith, Critical Care Nurse and Major for the U.S. Air Force, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in military duty and nursing.

Throughout her 14-year career in the U.S. Air Force, Maj. Smith has undertaken the dual role of military leader and critical care nurse. Utilizing her experience transporting soldiers and providing humanitarian aid as a flight nurse, she leads in the care of both active-duty personnel and veterans. She retains membership to the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau International.

Maj. Smith, who holds a master's degree in nursing from Loyola New Orleans University, became involved in her profession because of her love of people. Under the guidance of her faith, she has achieved great success and intends to become a lieutenant colonel in the future.
