Ms. Boen's initial involvement with St. John Vianney School was through volunteer work while her children were students of the institution. She was so fond of the school she went back to school and earned her California
teaching credential. She taught for 16 years and was the assistant principal for 12 years. Ms. Boen has served as principal for the past seven years. Her responsibilities include managing 25 faculty members, handling a budget of $1 million, and ensuring the safety of students. She has 23 years of professional experience and specializes in verbal and written communication.

Successful through her love of her work, Ms. Boen obtained a California teaching credential from National University and her Administrative credential for K-12 from St. Mary's College, Moraga. She previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications from California State University, Sacramento. Her professional affiliations include the National Catholic Educational Association and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. She volunteers her free time to her local Catholic Church and the Cordova Community Food Locker. Looking ahead, Ms. Boen intends to keep abreast of changes within the education industry.
