Michelle M. Beaulieu Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals
Michelle M. Beaulieu is the recipient of a master's degree in special education and behavioral disorders

PORTSMOUTH, RI, September 9, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michelle M. Beaulieu, Special Education Teacher for Portsmouth School Department, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in special education.

For the past 10 years, Ms. Beaulieu has been employed by the Portsmouth School Department as a special education teacher. Collaborating with three other teachers, she instructs special needs students in United States History, World Geography and English. She makes modifications and accommodations for students, writes Individualized Education Plans, and organizes parents' meetings. Additionally, Ms. Beaulieu coordinates with the advisory committee, the school improvement committee and the learning center committee.

In 2005, Ms. Beaulieu received a Master's Degree in Special Education and Behavioral Disorders from Rhode Island College. She also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Salve Regina University. Nationally Board Certified, she is a member of Pi Lambda Theta and the Kappa Delta Phi Fraternity. In 2010, she was recognized by the governor as Outstanding Educator of the Year. In the future, Ms. Beaulieu intends to pursue a Ph.D.
