Michael J. Sieh Recognized for Excellence in Education
Michael J. Sieh attained the Superintendent of the Year Award from the Nebraska Association of School Boards this year

STANTON, NE, September 7, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael J. Sieh, Ed.D., Superintendent of Stanton Community Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education administration.

22 years ago, Michael J. Sieh embarked on a career in education. Starting out, he taught math and computer science, for five years. He has since been in administration, the last nine years in his current capacity as superintendent of Stanton Community Schools. In this role, he oversees school improvement activities, and enhances student achievement and yearly budgeting. He officiates youth sports and also acts as an external team chairman for outside schools. Through his self-motivation, personal drive and ability to go above and beyond his expectations, he has attained success in his career.

Dr. Sieh received his Doctor of Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2009), his Educational Specialist Degree from Wayne State College, his Master's Degree in Secondary Administration (1998) and his Bachelor's Degree from Wayne State College (1988). A member of the Nebraska Council of School Administrators and the American Association of School Administrators, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Nebraska Rural Community Schools Association and as vice chairman of the State Accreditation Committee. His dissertation on school improvement was published, and in July of this year, he will begin teaching at Wayne State University at the graduate level.
