Matthew G. Verhoff Honored for Accomplishments in Railway Operations Analysis and Engineering Project
Matthew G. Verhoff received the Quality Ideas Award from the Long Island Rail Road in 2007

NEWTOWN, PA, September 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Matthew G. Verhoff, Senior Rail Operations Analyst for SYSTRA Consulting Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in rail operations and planning.

At SYSTRA Consulting Inc., Mr. Verhoff analyzes future track development, researches rail capacity, implements service schedules, oversees budgeting, and crew and equipment optimization. With more than 16 years of rail road experience, he is a Class I Certified Locomotive Engineer, and has worked various management positions in the Transportation and Service Planning departments. Mr. Verhoff served in the U.S. Army Reserves for eight years as a combat engineer responsible for constructing roads and bridges. In 1993, he was honored by the U.S. Army Reserves as Soldier of the Year. Mr. Verhoff previously worked for Norfolk Southern, AMTRAK and the Long Island Rail Road, which recognized him for his contributions with the Quality Ideas Award (2007) and the Customer Service Award (2002). Norfolk Southern also honored him with the Locomotive Engineer Top Notch Award (1997).

Mr. Verhoff is a member of the Metropolitan Railway Club of New York. Mr. Verhoff attributes his success to his hard work, focus and continued education. He completed college coursework and maintains his affiliation with the Kent State Chapter of Delta Upsilon Alumni. Outside of work, he volunteers with Newtown Lutheran Church of God's Love.
