CORAL GABLES, FL, September 1, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael Jay Rune II, Managing Partner of Welbaum, Guernsey, Hingston, Greenleaf, Gregory, Black, Rune & Thomas, LLP, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in the field of construction and surety law.

With 15 years of professional experience, Mr. Rune attributes his success to hard work and the inspiration of his father, who was also a lawyer. As a managing partner, he is in charge of overseeing management issues, and representing owners, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, sureties and insurers in all stages of disputes including formal proceedings in arbitration and litigation in state and federal courts.

Mr. Rune was an editor and contributing for the IADC's "Annual Survey of Fidelity and Surety Law" from 1997-2004. He co-authored "Liability and Performance Bond Surety" in ABA's The Law of Performance Bonds. In 1995, he earned his JD from Samford University, Cumberland School of Law. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in History, Cum Laude, in 1991 The University of Texas at Austin.

Mr. Rune is a member of the State Bar of Florida and Texas. He is also a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, and is affiliated with the Dade County Bar Association, the Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida, and the American Bar Association. He has been awarded an AV rating from Martindale-Hubble, representing their highest ranking for legal ability and ethical standards.
