Dana D. Connell has been recognized by Neiman Marcus with a "You're What We're Famous For" Award

OAK PARK, IL, September 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dana D. Connell, Associate Chairwoman and Associate Professor at Columbia College Chicago, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.

Before working for Columbia College Chicago, Ms. Connell was a senior buyer and a retail manager, involved with purchasing and management training programs; she has 22 years of professional experience. Now, she oversees her school's fashion studies department and instructs students in retail management and merchandising studies. Focusing on the creative and practical aspects of the fashion industry's business sector, she develops departmental curriculum, orchestrates new courses, advises 200 students and supervises faculty members.

In 2009, Ms. Connell graduated from the Brennan School of Business at Dominican University at River Forest, IL, receiving an MBA. In addition, she completed executive training through Marshall Field and Company, which honored her with a 4 Star Award of Achievement. She has also been recognized by Neiman Marcus with a "You're What We're Famous For" Award. She maintains affiliations with the American Collegiate Retailing Association and Fashion Group International, Inc.
