Elisabeth Joyce Villars Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals
Elisabeth Joyce Villars has won several recognitions in Ghana and beyond for her entrepreneurship, contribution to social development, and public service.

ACCRA, GHANA, September 7, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elisabeth Joyce Villars, Founder and Director of Camelot Ghana Limited, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in systems analysis.

Born on January 14th, 1944, in Accra, Elizabeth Joyce Villars is the first qualified Ghanaian female Computer Programmer and a Systems Analyst by profession. Elizabeth's leadership career commenced when she begun as Head of the Computer Department she set up at Volta River Authority (VRA). She is better associated with Camelot Ghana Limited, the first company in Ghana to manufacture computer stationery, which she founded in November 1980 where she worked until retiring in May last year.

Over her eventful career as the Chief Executive of Camelot, the company evolved from a local business forms printing company into a security printing company listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange and accredited by Bank of Ghana and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to print security instruments for both countries. Camelot over the years developed footprints across the sub-region and beyond, serving banks, governments, and top-tier financial institutions across West Africa.

Through her sound vision and exemplary leadership, Camelot won several laurels under her leadership and was featured thrice under Ghana Club 100 companies. In her capacity as an outstanding woman entrepreneur in Africa, Mrs. Villars has won several recognitions in Ghana and beyond for her entrepreneurship, contribution to social development, and public service. Various international platforms have seen her addressing various prominent forums including her recent participation as a panelist at the Harvard Business School Africa Business Club Conference in 2006. Her ascent to the presidencies of the two most prestigious business associations - the AGI and PEF - underscores her energy in entrepreneurship. Having been a major actor in Ghanaian enterprise, she was given a state award - Order of the Volta, Companion Division - in 2007. Mrs. Villars still offers invaluable expertise on various boards she serves on including Camelot's own board. Her keen interest in giving back to society earned her a much coveted 'first' as a Lady Rotarian in the Rotary Club of Accra. She is married with four children and six grandchildren. She enjoys advisory work, reading, golf, and traveling.
