HEMET, CA, September 14, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Donald E. Pierce, President, Founder, Board Developer and Executive Director of A Handicapped Help Line, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in disability support services.

After suffering a debilitating injury in 1978, Donald E. Pierce saw first-hand the everyday challenges faced by people with disabilities. Confined to office work, he began to discern opportunities by which he could help his peers. He thus joined Crisis Line for the Handicapped as an office manager, eventually acquiring the skills and confidence that he needed to strike out on his own. In 2000, he founded A Handicapped Help Line, a non-profit organization that provides emergency call services to the disabled population. Committed to offering assistance related to housing, food, healthcare and social welfare, Mr. Pierce works with a team of case managers, social workers and caregivers. For his efforts in improving living conditions for the disabled, he was declared "Professional of the Year in Disability Support Services" by Cambridge Who's Who for 2010 to 2011.

Mr. Pierce completed coursework in mathematics at De Anza College. He is affiliated with Independent Living and gives generously to A Labor of Love. His goals for the next five years include venturing into public speaking and launching a toll-free and international helpline for the handicapped.
