Denise J. Shannon Honored for Accomplishments in Education
Denise J. Shannon is the recipient of a professional teaching license from the state of Colorado
GREELEY, CO, September 13, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Denise J. Shannon, Primary Education Teacher at Weld County School District Six, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in primary education.
With 10 years of field experience, Mrs. Shannon's expertise is in reading instruction. At Weld County School District Six, she is responsible for teaching all subjects to first- through third- grade students. She also instructs children in reading, conducts intervention classes and uses RTI models of learning. She attributes her success to her education and the support she receives from her mentors.
The recipient of a professional teaching license from the state of Colorado, Mrs. Shannon earned a Master of Education in Curriculum Development and Reading Instruction from Grand Canyon University. She is a member of the National Education Association, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the International Reading Association. In the future, Mrs. Shannon hopes to become a reading intervention specialist for all grade levels.
