David S. Ames Honored for Accomplishments in Martial Arts
David S. Ames serves as a chairman for the Athletes Advisory Committee of The USA Karate Federation
AKRON, OH, September 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- David S. Ames, Shihan at KwanMuZenDoKai, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in karate and taekwondo.
At KwanMuZenDoKai, Mr. Ames conducts training in traditional Japanese, Korean and Chinese martial arts for children and adults. He referees, enforces rules, organizes meetings, and ensures martial arts quality and safety. With 34 years of professional experience, he attributes his success to his ethics.
In 1984, Mr. Ames was the first man in the United States to win a Pan American Games gold medal in kata. Afterwards, he spent eight years on the USA Karate Team. He is the recipient of an eight degree black belt in Kwanmukan karate, eighth degree in Chang Moo Kwan taekwondo, and third degree in KwanMuZenDoKai judo. Mr. Ames serves as a chairman for the Athletes Advisory Committee of The USA Karate Federation and a board member for the United States Ju-Jitsu Federation.
