As a pharmacist for Rite Aid Corp., David Olalekan Falade, Pharm.D. is responsible for dispensing prescription drugs to patients, providing information about drugs and assisting patients in understanding the instructions provided by their doctors or other health practitioners, answering patients' questions about prescription drugs, possible side effects and drug interactions, advising physicians and health practitioners on possible choices, dosages, interactions and side effects of medications, monitoring the progress of patients' health in response to drug therapy and making sure it is safe and effective, providing information and making recommendations about over-the-counter medications, dealing with third-party insurance issues, answering patients' questions about medical equipment, promoting healthy diets, exercise, stress management, and monitoring of asthma, hypertension, diabetes and cholesterol. He became a pharmacist because it allows him to help patients directly, conduct research for the government, and make a difference. He attributes his success to his hard work, drive to perform better, and ability to be the best and overcome challenges.

Dr. Falade received a Doctor of Pharmacy from the School of Pharmacy, Howard University in 2010, and a Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology and Genetics from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2006. He is a member of the American Pharmacists Association, the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, the National Community Pharmacists Association, and Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. A Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Society inductee, he actively participates in local church activities as well as local health fairs. Looking ahead, Dr. Falade intends to conduct more research in the pharmaceutical industry, and to utilize his skills to his maximum potential in order to help others.
