Prior to her current position, she served as chairwoman and CEO of the Private Banking Division of JPMorgan Chase & Co. She also worked at Chase Manhattan Private Bank, and Citibank.

In 1980, Ms. Lagomasino received a Master of Business Administration from Fordham University. She received a Master of Science from Columbia University, and her Bachelor of Arts from Manhattanville College. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and the Economic Club of New York. She was appointed to serve on the Secretary of State's Advisory Committee on Transformational Diplomacy in September 2006. Additionally, she was appointed by President Bush to help lead an effort to secure private sector funds to aid disaster victims in Central America in November 2005.
