Dr. Elizabeth D. Carlson is a member of the American Public Health Association

SPRINGFIELD, IL, August 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Elizabeth D. Carlson, Managing Director for Springfield Elder Care, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in geriatric nursing.

At Springfield Elder Care, Dr. Carlson manages the practices' daily operations. She also monitors the health of geriatric patients who have been discharged from the hospital. Formerly, Dr. Carlson was employed as an assistant professor for the Mennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State University. With 13 years of professional experience, she attributes her success to her passion for nursing.

Dr. Carlson is the recipient of a Doctorate in Nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. A supporter of the American Cancer Society, Inc., she is a member of The American Nurses Association, Inc. and the American Public Health Association. In the future, Dr. Carlson hopes to expand her practice to the city and rural areas.
