Luis Taveras Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry

Fremont, CA, May 07, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Luis Taveras, a former Financial Business Manager with the New York City Department of Education, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of financial management.

Mr. Taveras has an extensive background in financial management, and excels in strategic planning. He is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, overseeing budget administration, asset management, process improvements, quality assurance, claims review and communications. He worked as a liability specialist in insurance claims from 1997 to 2000. Mr. Taveras considers completing his MBA from The Johnson School at Cornell University to be the most fulfilling aspect of his career. He attributes his success to his disciplined nature and education.

Mr. Taveras, a certified college instructor, earned his MBA in 2008 from The Johnson School at Cornell University and a Master of Science in Global Financial Analysis from Bentley College. He also earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Operations Management from Baruch College in 1997 and holds a diploma in international economics from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom. Mr. Taveras has been named in the dean's list.

Mr. Taveras is a former treasurer of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, and is affiliated with the Phi Theta Kappa, the Sigma Iota Epsilon, the Alpha Iota Delta, the Golden Key International Honour Society, the International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma, and the Cornell University Alternative Investments Club. In the future, Mr. Taveras hopes to establish his own business within the financial services sector. He stays current with the trends in his profession by reading the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Crain's New York Business and the Harvard Business Review. Mr. Taveras has successfully coped with the governmental budget cuts.
