DETROIT, MI, December 16, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Sanual J. Mixon, Executive Director at Detroit Public Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

Ms. Mixon has 38 years of overall professional experience. As executive director, she is responsible for handling 10 units, managing a budget over $30 million and overseeing professional development, discipline, special education laws, legal compliance and curriculum related to special education. She is also a clinical speech pathologist for geriatric and special needs patients.

In addition to receiving a JD from Michigan State University, Ms. Mixon received a Master of Education in psychology and a Bachelor of Science in speech pathology, both from Wayne State University. She is a member of the Michigan Association of Administrators of Special Education, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the American Bar Association and the National Bar Association.
