Linda Smith is a seasoned professional in complex litigation

Ms. Smith has 33 years of professional experience, including 26 years of experience in her current position. As a senior partner at O'Melveny & Myers, LLP, she specializes in high-stakes litigation, including anti-trust law suits, securities fraud, and disputes between major entertainment studios, as well as over system-wide software implementation. Ms. Smith oversees and supervises legal teams on high profile cases, involving both private parties and government entities.

Most recently she was the co-lead counsel representing Advanced Micro devices in its long running, multijurisdictional antitrust lawsuit against Intel Corporation. The case was settled for $1.25 billion, one of the largest settlements ever achieved in an antitrust dispute by a single plaintiff. For the past 25 years, Ms. Smith has represented PricewaterhouseCoopers in RICO, accounting malpractice and securities fraud litigation. She attributes her success to her solid client relationships and litigation skills.

In 1977 Ms. Smith earned a JD from the University of California at Los Angeles. Three years prior, she graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts. Ms. Smith is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association. She is also affiliated with Order of the Coif, UCLA Law Review, the Phi Beta Kappa Society, and the Business and Trial Litigation Practice. Furthermore, Ms. Smith has served as a Commissioner of the Los Angeles Commission on the Status of Women and a Board Member of the Los Angeles County Bar Foundation. She has been named as a Top Woman Litigator by the Los Angeles Daily Journal since 2004 and as a Top 50 Women Litigator by the National Law Journal. Corporate Board Member magazine named Ms. Smith as "the meanest woman alive" as a result of her litigation skills. In her spare time she lends her services to various charitable organizations.
