Judith G. Tobin Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Judith G. Tobin celebrates a 49-year career as an assistant state medical examiner for the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services

WILMINGTON, DE, December 9, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Judith G. Tobin, MD, Retired Assistant State Medical Examiner of the Office of the Medical Examiner at Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in forensic medicine.

Prior to her retirement as an assistant state medical examiner for the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, a position she held for 49 years, Dr. Tobin was responsible for determining the cause and manner of death, overseeing medical legal cases in two counties, liaising with police, testifying in court, and visiting crime scenes. She became involved in her profession after gaining experience in pathology and medicine and she attributes her success to loving her work and studying hard.

Dr. Tobin is a member of The National Association of Medical Examiners, having received an MD from the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University in 1952 and a Bachelor of Arts in zoology from Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, where she graduated with honors in 1948. She is a member of the Medical Society of Delaware, the Sussex County Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the National Association of Medical Examiners, and Phi Beta Kappa. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame of Delaware Women.
