Doctoral Candidate Jo-Ann Savoie celebrates 23 years of success in her career

HANNON, ON, CANADA, December 2, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jo-Ann Savoie, Detective for Hamilton Police Service, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in law enforcement.

Ms. Savoie has 14 years of overall professional experience. As detective, she is in charge of supervising and providing support to front line officers in relation to criminal investigations and mentoring and advising staff. Prior to her current position, she served in a senior officer position in the military. She is the president of Ontario Women in Law Enforcement.

A certified municipal manager, Ms. Savoie is pursuing a Doctoral in Business Administration in leadership from Walden University. She earned a Master of Arts in leadership in 2009 from Royal Roads University and a Bachelor of Arts in geography in 1992 from The University of Western Ontario. Additionally, she earned two diplomas: in police studies from McMaster University in 2006 and political science and sociology from Dawson College in 1987.

Ms. Savoie received the Canadian Forces Decoration, the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal, and the CMM II Police Professional Award.
