Jeffrey B. Garris, MD, Recognized for Excellence in Health Care
Dr. Garris' interest in his field was spurred after losing his father to leukemia

GREENVILLE, SC, December 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Dr. Jeffrey B. Garris, Urogynecologist and Department Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in urology.

Dr. Garris has more than 25 years of professional experience and an expertise in urinary and fecal incontinence, as well as female sexual dysfunction. He has been the Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine since 2005. In his position, Dr. Garris teaches Obstetrics and Gynecology residents and medical students. He instructs basic and clinical research, and serves on various research committees as well.

He is affiliated with the American Urological Association, the American Urogynecologic Society and the International Urogynecological Association. Dr. Garris also belongs to the International Continence Society, and is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He volunteers his spare time to a local free health clinic. In the future, Dr. Garris aims to improve the quality of care provided to his patients.
