James P. Miller Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
James P. Miller teaches at West Jefferson Middle School and received numerous awards

GOLDEN, CO, December 9, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James P. Miller, Teacher at Jeffco Public Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

With 22 years of professional experience, Mr. Miller attributes his success to his creativity and the support he received from his mentors. His responsibilities at Jeffco Public Schools include teaching four sixth-grade language arts classes, sitting on the leadership advisory team and coaching the high school basketball team. He previously worked in social services.

Mr. Miller earned a master's degree in education in 1990 from The University of Northern Colorado, and a bachelor's degree in developmental psychology in 1985 from University of Colorado. Additionally, he holds a professional teaching license in the State of Colorado. He serves as a representative for the Jefferson County Education Association and is a member of the National Education Association and the Colorado High School Coaches Association.

In 2000 Mr. Miller received the Colorado Teacher of the Year Award from the Colorado Awards. He was a finalist for the Colorado Teacher of the Year Award presented by the Department of Education. He was also nominated for the Disney United States Teacher of the Year. He received the Colorado All State Coach Award in 2004 as well as the English Educator of the Year Award in 2001.
