Gabriel G. Vallejo Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals
Gabriel Vallejo is pursuing a Ph.D. in educational psychology from Capella University

SAN ANTONIO, TX, December 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gabriel G. Vallejo, Licensed Professional Counselor, served five years in the U.S. Army, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in mental health care.

With 14 years of professional experience, Mr. Vallejo has developed a specialization in clinical mental health issues, including depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, and child and family therapy. Through his private practice, he has provided counseling services for six years. By keeping abreast of changes in the industry, he is able advocate for mental health patients. Mr. Vallejo became involved in his profession through his realization that many children were dealing with crisis issues. Having grown up in a military family, he often helped many friends through different crises, including substance abuse issues. He found it to be his calling.

In addition to his private practice, Mr. Vallejo works with the Methodist Hospital System. There, he aids patients in crisis stabilization. Previously, he served in the U.S. Army for four years, and the U.S. Army Reserve for one year.

Mr. Vallejo is pursuing a Ph.D. in educational psychology from Capella University, which follows his completion of coursework in philosophy, and counselor education and supervision. He also holds a Master of Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio in community counseling. He is a member of the American Counseling Association. In his spare time, Mr. Vallejo supports community initiatives and the Stardust Foundation. He hopes to earn a Ph.D. and transition from serving individual clients to advocating for the community as a whole.
