Dr. John R. Eastman Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Dr. John R. Eastman celebrates 20 years of success throughout his career
NEWPORT NEWS, VA, December 9, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. John R. Eastman, Independent Scholar and Retired Teacher, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.
Dr. Eastman has 20 years of overall professional experience. He previously taught German, Latin, and night courses in English in Germany. He was a full-time teacher for five years, a part-time teacher for two years, and a substitute teacher for 13 years. Additionally, he has written two books and writes book reviews.
Currently, Dr. Eastman is doing family research in genealogy. He is a member of the American Indian College Fund, the American Indian Education Foundation and the Council of Indian Nations, and affiliated with the American Historical Association, the American Catholic Historical Association and the American Philological Association.
In 1985, Dr. Eastman received a doctoral degree in medieval history, with a minor in art history and modern European history from the University of Würzburg in Germany. He received a Bachelor of Arts in history in 1968 from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and holds a Virginia postgraduate professional license in German PreK-12, Latin PreK-12, and history.
