Dr. Carolyn M. DeLeon Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Carolyn DeLeon is an author, speaker and executive leader

SAN JOSE, CA, December 8, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Carolyn DeLeon, Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development at Good Samaritan Hospital, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in strategic organizational management; including human resource management, strategic workforce planning and development, management and leadership development, executive and professional coaching.

Dr. De Leon worked for several years as a licensed clinical therapist in cognitive rehabilitation helping individuals regain cognitive and communication skills after a stroke or brain injury. She holds a Bachelor of Theology from Pacific Coast Bible College, a B.A. and M.A. in Communication Sciences from San Jose State University, and a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership from The University of Phoenix.

Currently, she works in the healthcare industry as a Vice President and senior executive leader overseeing human resources, organizational development, quality process improvement, education, and employee health and safety. She provides executive coaching to senior leaders and mid level leadership and management teams. Her passions are management and leadership development with a particular passion for helping women gain confidence to succeed in the workplace. Dr. De Leon also teaches organizational strategies and coaching for loss and grief in the workplace.

After the suicide loss of her husband several years ago, Dr. De Leon wrote two books in the area of grief and bereavement to help others through the grief process. She creates and develops grief recovery tools for individuals to use in their journey to promote healing and help individuals redefine their lives after loss. She consults with churches and other organizations to re-design or develop grief recovery program models. Dr. DeLeon also has a grief recovery business through which she offers grief recovery classes and training seminars for Christian Grief Recovery. Her latest book is "New Day: Grief Recovery Workbook," a companion book to "Dawning of New Day: A Journey out of Darkness: Life Lessons to Help you through Grief."

A member of the Northern California Human Resources Association, the Academic Advisory Boards for Health Care Administration and SHRM, Dr. DeLeon was recognized with the Excellence in Leadership award from Good Samaritan Hospital in 2004.

Within the next five years, Dr. DeLeon will publish a book on the laws of strategic human resource management, attain certification from the International Coaching Federation and become an executive, professional, and life coach.
