Dr. Carmen Mironovici Honored for Accomplishments in Medical Research
Carmen Mironovici's expertise is in endocrinology

FLINT, MI, December 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Carmen D. Mironovici, MD, Ph.D., Clinical Researcher for the Hurley Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in medical research.

With 17 years of professional experience, Dr. Mironovici has developed an expertise in endocrinology. In her current position, she designs clinical studies for diabetes, chronic kidney failure and other endocrinologic conditions. Further, she collects and interprets data from processed blood and urine samples. Raised in a family of physicians, she believes that her success is a direct result of her continuous education and excellence in her profession.

In 2006, Dr. Mironovici earned a Ph.D. in endocrinology, graduating magna cum laude, from the Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy, located in Iasi, Romania. Prior to this, she graduated summa cum laude from Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, in Bucharest, Romania, with an MD. She has completed a residency in internal medicine at the Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy, as well as fellowships in endocrinology, diabetology, nutrition and metabolic disorders.

Dr. Mironovici holds a certification from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates. A member of the Romanian Society of Endocrinology, she also holds memberships with the Romanian Society for Psychoneuroendocrinology, the Balkan Medical Union, the European Society of Endocrinology and the American Medical Association. In her spare time, she is an emergency room volunteer at St. Joseph's Medical Center, in Detroit, Mich. Dr. Mironovici is also the co-founder, and an attending physician, for the ACCEPT Association, in Constanta, Romania. In the near future, she intends to continue her clinical research, graduate from a residency program in the United States, and teach.
