Douglas Parker has been elected to the Director for Safe Communities Canada

Mr. Parker has 14 years of overall professional experience. As a safety and security supervisor, he is responsible for overseeing plant safety, development and emergency response programs, coordinating on corporate policies and procedures, and managing on-site and traveling hazardous materials teams. He also develops manuals, trains on safety and emergency response, and ensures all occupational safety and health administration regulations.

Mr. Parker holds a registered safety professional designation through the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP). He is pursuing a master's degree in business at the University of Fredericton, and received a degree in occupational safety from Ryerson University and Landsbridge University. He sits on the Board of Directors at Safe Communities Canada.
