With 29 years of professional experience, Dr. Collins attributes her success to God and her family. As a pediatrician, she sees, evaluates and treats children with health, emotional and behavioral problems. She started practicing in Garden City, Kansas, and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In 2003, she received the Physician Colleague Recognition for Excellence Award, and the Women of Achievement Award in 2001.

Dr. Collins was originally certified through the American Board of Pediatrics and re-certified in 2010. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Lansing Cooperative Hospitals in 1981. She earned a MD in 1978, and completed coursework in nutrition in 1974, from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.
