Nancy C. Guerro became a health care professional to help people to the best of her ability

WILKES-BARRE, PA, November 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Nancy C. Guerro, Senior Director at Blue Cross of Northeastern PA and Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia, PA, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in health plan operations management.

Nancy's career spans both the commercial carrier and "not for profit" health care worlds. She has been working for Blue Cross of Northeastern PA in Wilkes-Barre PA for the past 5 years, has 4 years prior experience at Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia, and formerly directed the Customer Service and Claims Operations for Aetna's largest service center in Allentown, Pa.. Her responsibilities today and in the past, include claims and customer service operations, business systems, benefit set up, testing and implementation, training and quality, continuous process improvement and vendor relationship management.

She is a member of various committees at Blue Cross including the Benefits Committee, 5010 Steering Committee, Continuous Process Improvement Steering Committee, Healthcare Reform Core Team, and Vendor Operations Steering Committee.

Nancy attributes her success to her family, a desire to learn, her enjoyment of people and a work ethic that is constantly in pursuit of excellence. Nancy has coached and mentored many individuals over the course of her career and continues to do so. She prides herself on their successes.

Ms. Guerro received a bachelor of arts in sociology from Hunter College in 1976. She is a member of the American Management Association and the local chapter of the Society of Human Resource Professionals.
