Kimberly K. Stanford celebrates 24 years of experience in health care

SARASOTA, FL, November 24, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kimberly K. Stanford, Owner of A Bridge For Independence, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in health care.

With 24 years of professional experience, Ms. Stanford has developed an expertise in home care, mental health and Alzheimer and Dementia care. On a daily basis, she oversees human resources activities, including interviewing potential employees, hiring and supervising 60 employees. Further, she handles financial, sales and marketing initiatives. Her inspiration to enter the field stemmed from caring for her mother, who was in a horrific motorcycle accident when she was a teenager. Starting as a home care pediatric nurse, Ms. Stanford worked as a registered nurse in long-term care for 19 years. After ten years in regional management, she decided to venture out and open her own business. Ms. Stanford's business is the only company that offers mental care services in her area.

In 1992, she earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Minnesota State Community and Technical College at Fergus Falls. She also graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University. A licensed administrator, she became a licensed practical nurse through the Alexandra Technical Institute in 1987. Ms. Stanford is a member of the Sarasota County Aging Network and the Manatee County Aging Network, as well as the chambers of commerce of Siesta Key, Longboat Key, Lido Key and St. Armand's Circle. A supporter of the Alzheimer's Association, she hopes to continue providing quality service to her community and expand her company.
