Elizabeth F. Baird Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Elizabeth F. Baird has been an educator for the past 45 years and presently is the Director of the City of Burlington Adult/Continuing Education Program

BURLINGTON, NJ, November 16, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elizabeth F. Baird, Adult Education Director for the City of Burlington Public Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

Mrs. Baird has 45 years of professional experience and an expertise in adult education, curriculum development and technology. Since 2000, she has been the Adult Education Director for the City of Burlington Public Schools. In her position, she interviews and evaluates personnel, answers phones and e-mail, plans programs, designs and mails flyers, handles budget, payroll, marketing, and recordkeeping, seeks new courses to present, and visits classrooms. She is always spreading the word about the organization's great courses and instructors, and presenting the fact that adult education opens the world of opportunities and possibilities to all who walk through its doors. Mrs. Baird lends her career accomplishment to her persistence and perseverance. She was recently recognized by the City of Burlington School District for 45 years of service.

Elizabeth F. Baird received a Master's degree in Education from Marywood University, and a BA with a concentration in English, French and Education from Upsala College. She is certified in Education: Grades 1-8. She is a member of the Burlington County Retired Education Association of New Jersey, NJEA, NJREA, NEA, AAUW, Phi Delta Kappa International, and the City of Burlington Historical Society. She serves as Secretary for The "Friendly Institution" of Burlington, NJ; Trustee for the Burlington County Historical Society; Commissioner of the Historic Preservation Commission of Burlington; and trustee of the Friends of the Library Company of Burlington. Additionally, she sits on the Board of Managers for the Home for Aged Women of Burlington County, and the Literacy Committee of the Workforce Investment Board.
