Edmonia Scott Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Edmonia Scott has been a practicing nurse at St. John's Episcopal Hospital for 31 years

FAR ROCKAWAY, NY, November 11, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Edmonia Scott, Registered Nurse at St. John's Episcopal Hospital, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing.

Ms. Scott has 31 years of overall professional experience. A registered nurse, she is responsible for managing 20 to 30 cases in the areas of pediatric, maternity, and medical-surgical nursing. She also completes rotations, precepts on the floor and for case management and works in the intensive care unit. Her research on hypertension in African-Americans was published by the SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

A member of the Arthritis Foundation, Ms. Scott is affiliated with the National Council of Negro Women, Inc., and the American Association of University Women. She received a master of science in nursing and a bachelor of science in nursing, from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Additionally, she received an Associate of Applied Science from the New York City College of Technology, holds a certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and is a certified professional in utilization review.
