Dr. Oliver L. Griffin obtained a Doctoral Degree from Harvard University

ROCHESTER, NY, November 17, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Oliver L. Griffin, Assistant Professor at St. John Fisher College, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in modern European history instruction.

Dr. Oliver L. Griffin has 12 years of overall professional experience. As an assistant professor, he teaches classes, and addresses administrative matters in the College Honors Program, for which he serves as director. Prior to joining the faculty at St. John Fisher College, Dr. Griffin taught history at Weber State University. His academic and teaching interests include Europe since 1500, Germany since 1870, and the Holocaust.

Dr. Griffin earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Yale College, and then went on to obtain a Doctoral Degree from Harvard University in 1998. His dissertation explored perceptions of Russia in German military leadership between 1871 and 1914. He was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship by the Fulbright Commission, and also a separate scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service.

Dr. Griffin is a member of the American Historical Association, and the German Studies Association. He is listed in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the World, and the 2011 Who's Who Online Global Directory. He attributes his success to his persistence and hard work.
