DANVILLE, CA, November 18, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dennis A. Chantland, Lead Director of Pacer International, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in administration and operations management.

Well-known for his problem resolution skills, Mr. Chantland has spent his career of 40 years in senior management positions for manufacturing, distribution and retail businesses. In 2010, he was elected by Pacer International, Inc. as its lead director. He also works as an independent consultant for a variety of companies, offering financial, administrative and operational advisement.

Formerly, Mr. Chantland was employed for over 17 years in senior executive roles for several divisions of the Target Corporation. He has also worked as the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Williams-Sonoma Inc. His success stems from his tenacity and troubleshooting skills.

In 1976, he graduated from the University of St. Thomas, receiving a Master of Business Administration. Mr. Chantland has served on boards for the arthritis foundations of Boston and San Francisco, the Skaggs Institute of Management, and Prophet Brand Strategy. His goal is to become involved with additional industry boards.
