David R. Jones Honored for Accomplishments in Fire Safety
David R. Jones views his profession as a long standing career rather than just a job

SALEM, OR, November 24, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- David R. Jones, Supervising Deputy State Fire Marshal has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in the fire service.

For 34 years, Jones has been a member of the Oregon fire service with the last 12 years as a Deputy State Fire Marshal. Previously he worked as a career fire fighter in Klamath Falls. As a Supervising Deputy for the State Fire Marshal, he oversees the work of five district field deputies. Holding numerous professional certifications, he is also charged with coaching, mentoring and training of fire service professionals in local fire departments. Jones contributes his success because he made the fire service a career, rather than just a job.

In addition to being a career fire fighter, Jones volunteers his experience to his local fire district. He is on the Board of Directors for the Jefferson Fire District and also services on the Executive Board for the Oregon Fire District Directors Association.
