Cynthia Hendry Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
Cynthia Hendry celebrates six years as a registered nurse for Memorial University Medical Center

TYBEE ISLAND, GA, November 3, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cynthia Hendry, Registered Nurse for Memorial University Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in women's health and postpartum care.

With six years of experience as a registered nurse for Memorial University Medical Center, Cynthia Hendry is responsible for conducting community classes on childbirth, women's health issues and sexually-transmitted diseases, coordinating with the Maternal Infant Alliance and other community organizations, and teaching mothers in the postpartum care unit. She became involved in nursing and opted for pediatrics and women's healthcare after being inspired by the nurses at her doctor's clinic. She attributes her success to her desire to empower women and children with support and assistance.

Ms. Hendry received a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston in 1978. In addition to her formal education, she has earned the following titles: Certified Lactation Consultant, Certified Child Birth Educator and Certified Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP). She is also certified in Basic Life Support. She is a member of the Georgia Perinatal Association, the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association, the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, and the Alpha Delta Pi.
