Sandy S. Foster-Henry to Be Profiled in Exclusive Registry
Sandy S. Foster-Henry was a founding member of the Autism Support Network's Fine Arts Advisory Board
CARROLLTON, TX, October 15, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sandy S. Foster-Henry, Instructional Technology Specialist for Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District's Division of Educational Services, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in instruction.
Ms. Foster-Henry is a master teacher and professional artist who has worked with middle school and high school students teaching art. Her art is in public and private collections, and she has sold many of her paintings through galleries, one-man shows and word of mouth. Prior to her current position she received state and national recognition for her students' work. She developed and implemented a computer pilot program for art education in the district, and co-authored a teacher's guide to middle school art. She taught staff development to English as a second language teachers of at-risk and gifted students. She has presented papers at school, state and national conferences. She spent two years working in the public relations department of the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District. She is currently working with teachers and students devoted to tying technology into the district curriculum.
Ms. Foster-Henry is a Certified Fine Arts Teacher. She is pursuing a Master's Degree online in Educational Technology and Curriculum Development, and she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas Tech University, earned in 1986. She also completed coursework at Austin College. A member of the Texas Computer Education Association, the Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented, she was a founding member of the Autism Support Network's Fine Arts Advisory Board. In recognition of her accomplishments, she was named the School District VIP and was inducted into the Class Nobel National Society of High School Scholars.
