Laura M. Schuler was nominated for a Woman of Distinction Award in 2009

EDMONTON, AB, CANADA, October 14, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Laura M. Schuler, General Counsel for The Brick Group, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in legal services.

Specializing in corporate/commercial law business transactions, Ms. Schuler has 17 years of experience as an attorney. She has spent the past six months employed by The Brick Group, where she works with 13 of its 20 business units. She serves its real estate, marketing, contracts, corporate security, commercial sales, logistics, inventory and procurement divisions. She attributes her success to her strong work ethic.

In 1993, Ms. Schuler received a bachelor's degree from the University of Calgary. Ten years later, she graduated from York University with a master's degree in tax, focusing on e-business and international tax. She is involved with The Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Hong Kong-Canada Business Association and the Institute of Corporate Directors. Ms. Schuler is a board member for the Edmonton Economic Development Corporation and a chairwoman for the organization's Governance Committee. In 2009, she was nominated as a Top 100 Executive Women in Canada, as well as for a Woman of Distinction Award.
