Dr. Robert T. Burris to Be Profiled in Exclusive Registry

MARIETTA, GA, October 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Robert T. Burris, Head of School at Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

With 20 years of professional experience, Dr. Burris attributes his success to the support he receives from his mentors. His responsibilities at Mt. Bethel Christian Academy include supervising a staff of 83 teachers, counselors and administrators, overseeing all curricula, facilitating discussions with parent groups, overseeing testing, financial budgets, and board and stakeholder relationships, and supporting the annual fund drive.

Dr. Burris received a Doctor of Education in 2008 and a master's degree, with a concentration in counselor education, in 2002, from the University of Central Florida. He received a Bachelor of Science in liberal arts in 1985 from Liberty University.

In 2003, he co-founded the Central Florida Consortium of Private School Counselors, an organization to address issues pertinent to independent school educators and students. The consortium then filed for incorporation and began planning the first Central Florida College Fair for independent schools.

Dr. Burris is a member of the Association of American School Administrators, the Association of Christian Schools International, the Georgia Independent School Association, and the Atlanta Christian School Association.
